Maria Nardecchia - Endometriosis and the Taboo of Women's Health
Wednesday Mar 18, 2020
Wednesday Mar 18, 2020
Summary
I'm going to go ahead and say it: every single woman out there needs to hear this podcast. It is all about "the most common disease you've never heard of": endometriosis. I've heard the story a million times and have experienced it myself: a woman shares intolerable symptoms with a trusted friend or doctor and is met with this advice: these are the cards you've been dealt as a woman, it's something you'll have to just deal with. Unfortunately this advice that we often hear is the furthest thing from the truth. Most intolerable symptoms that women go through can be explained by an underlying cause - sometimes something as simple as hormone imbalance, and other times with a more complicated diagnosis like endometriosis. Yet, for some reason, few women are ever educated on what these diseases are. Maria Nardecchia has her own remarkable journey to finally receiving a diagnosis of endometriosis and joins us today to educate us all on what this disease is and discuss how many women unknowingly suffer from it.

Wednesday Mar 11, 2020
Summary
Today we’re talking about the most requested topic for the More Than Mom podcast: INFERTILITY. Anna Kate Craig joins me to walk us through her personal infertility journey and the physical and emotional exhaustion that comes with it. Anna Kate sheds a light on some of the often overlooked side effects of infertility, including a lack of time, financial stress, and incredible obstacles surrounding marital intimacy. This is yet another taboo topic that I'm excited to bring to the surface so that more women can be comfortable reaching out for support within their own journeys. You'll find that Anna Kate is extremely honest throughout our conversation and leaves no topic untouched.
